In lieu of traditional Hanukkah treats, try making these flavorful gelatin stars in celebration of the eight-day holiday. Made with coconut milk, blueberry juice and kosher gelatin, these cut-out stars are not only festively colored, but they're also surefire crowd pleasers.

Hanukkah Jelly Shots

Blue and white-striped jelly shots are a festive addition to a Hanukkah party. Use 3 ounces blue raspberry gelatin, 2/3 cup boiling water and 1/3 cup blue curaçao liqueur to make the first stripe, filling each shot glass with a spoonful of liquid. Refrigerate for two hours to set. For the white stripe, combine two packages unflavored gelatin, 1 can sweet condensed milk, 3/4 cup triple sec, 1 cup boiling water and 1/2 cup cold water. Let the mixture cool, then spoon on top of the blue stripe. Refrigerate for another two hours, then repeat the first step to create a second blue stripe.

For the white stripe, combine two packages unflavored gelatin, 1 can sweet condensed milk, 3/4 cup triple sec, 1 cup boiling water and 1/2 cup cold water. Let the mixture cool, then spoon on top of the red stripe. Refrigerate for two hours, then make the green stripe, using 3 ounces lime gelatin, 2/3 cup boiling water and 1/3 cup sour apple liqueur.
